蕭宇倢以探究物質之特殊性為主軸，專注於宣紙的材質氣氛與變化，並拓展紙本媒材的當代視覺語彙，延伸觀看的可能性。同時反思觀看的本質，著重對事物純粹的理解及感知。

創作中以非敘事的視覺結構，透過紙纖維的堆疊、收縮與光線之間的穿透、反射，呈現二維與三維之間蓬鬆具呼吸感的結構，在其中移動中的觀看行為、物件與環境，三者不斷牽動著並隨之消長。畫面中偏好平衡、靜謐、幽微的表現，以細膩的媒材特質及中性的姿態建構出不張揚、質樸的美感。這份美感的特殊性來自觀者好奇心的參與，遠觀時，易呈現一抹近乎純白的圖形，然而隨之靠近，越能發現物質多面向的樣態。

在此，創作不僅是視覺體驗，更是一種感知的擴張。試圖在中性、不易被定義的審美經驗中，直視當下的物理事實，捕捉那些相對客觀、具體的美感體驗，亦是對觸及之物本真的持續探問。

Yu-Chieh Hsiao  focuses on the unique properties of materials, specializing in exploring the novel possibilities of xuan paper in contemporary art. Her works invite viewers to intuitively observe the physical form of the materials presented before them. At the same time, she raises questions about how we see and how we understand things. The materiality of the works and the space and tactile sensations encourage viewers to confront the physical realities of the present moment and to deeply reflect on how we perceive and relate to art in this digital age. This understanding is objective and non-judgmental, offering a multi-faceted awareness of things.
